About Cantina Tramin: Located in Italy, Cantina Tramin is a union of 160 families working together to produce delicious and fragrant wines. Cantina Tramin prides themselves on the fact that each bottle is the quintessence of their philosophy of life and work: accuracy, commitment, trust and creativity. In 1971, Cantina Tramin merged with the historic Cantina Sociale di Egna (established in 1893). This union united a great heritage of traditions and vineyards into one single cooperative. In the nineties, under the leadership of our new winemaker, Willi Stürz, they began their reach for the stars with their selection range. In 2010, the renovation of their headquarters was completed, and the architectural sculpture of their winery, designed by architect Werner Tscholl, had become an icon and symbol of Tramin.

About Wolfgang Klotz, Tramin Winery, Marketing & Sales Director: Wolfgang is a native of Alto Adige. He became truly interested in wine while still in high school, as a “weekend winegrower,” producing small quantities of wine at home just for the fun of it. After completing his commercial studies in high school, he took a course on wine marketing and then worked for two years as an assistant sales manager for a large Italian bottler, Schenk Spa. In 2000, he joined a small, quality-oriented Alto Adige winery, H. LUN –managing its operations until the end of 2006. While working at H. Lun, he obtained his bachelor’s degree in Economics and Management at the tri-lingual (English, German and Italian) Free University of Bolzano. He completed his thesis on “Market potential and market entry strategies for Italian organic wine in the USA.” In 2007 Wolfgang joined Tramin winery where he now holds since then the position as Marketing and Sales Director. Tramin is a dynamic winery in Alto Adige, noted for its aromatic and elegant wines which have garnered numerous awards particularly using the Gewürztraminer grape variety (including 25 Tre Bicchieri wins from Gambero Rosso). When not working, Wolfgang plays with his two young kids and enjoys spending time with friends and family. An outdoors enthusiast, he is an avid skier and mountain biker and also a member of the local fire department.
